1. About wunderBudget

wunderBudget is a personal finance application that helps individuals track spending, manage budgets, and understand their financial health. The app connects to your bank accounts via Plaid to automatically import and categorize transactions.

wunderBudget is not a financial institution, investment advisor, or credit service. The app provides budgeting tools only and does not offer financial products, referrals, or recommendations for third-party financial services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use wunderBudget. By using the app, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use wunderBudget. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@wunderbudget.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. SMS Messaging

wunderBudget may send SMS messages to your mobile phone number solely for account security purposes, specifically two-factor authentication (2FA) verification codes. By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS, you consent to receive these security messages.

• Purpose: Account security only — verification codes for two-factor authentication. We do not send promotional, marketing, or informational SMS messages.
• Frequency: Messages are sent only when you initiate a login or security action that requires verification.
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
• Opt-out: You may disable SMS two-factor authentication at any time from Settings → Two-Factor Authentication within the app.
• No third-party sharing: Your phone number will not be shared with, sold to, or used by any third party for any purpose.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

wunderBudget offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and billed to your Apple ID. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's terms. wunderBudget does not have access to your payment information.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Permitted Use

wunderBudget is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:

• Use the app for any commercial, business, or resale purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable law

7. Bank Account Access

Connecting your bank accounts is optional but required for automatic transaction import. Bank connections are established through Plaid Technologies, Inc. wunderBudget requests read-only access to your transaction history and account balances — we cannot initiate transfers or make changes to your bank accounts.

You may disconnect any linked bank account at any time from within the app. Disconnecting immediately revokes wunderBudget's access to that account's data through Plaid.

8. No Affiliate Marketing or Lead Generation

wunderBudget does not participate in affiliate marketing programs, referral fee arrangements, or lead generation activities. We do not receive compensation for directing users to any financial product, institution, or third-party service. The app exists solely to provide personal budgeting tools to its users.

9. Intellectual Property

wunderBudget and all associated content, design, and software are owned by WidgetAl Digital and protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

wunderBudget is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of data retrieved from third-party sources such as Plaid. The app is a budgeting tool only and does not constitute financial advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, wunderBudget and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any reliance on financial data displayed within it.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you within the app. Continued use of wunderBudget after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which WidgetAl Digital operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
